THINGS TO KNOW
IMPOUND & VEHICLE RELEASE POLICY

We understand that having your vehicle towed can be frustrating. Our goal is to make the release process as straightforward and respectful as possible. Please review the following policies carefully to avoid delays.
WHO CAN RETRIEVE A VEHICLE

Vehicles are released only to the registered owner or an authorized representative.

What is an authorized representative?
An authorized representative is someone who has been approved by both the registered owner and Overtime Towing staff to retrieve the vehicle on the owner’s behalf.
To begin this process, the registered owner must speak directly with our team. Once verified, we will provide guidance on how to authorize another party.
VERIFICATION OF IDENTITY & OWNERSHIP
Before a vehicle can be released, we must confirm both the identity of the individual retrieving the vehicle and their legal right to do so.
Required Documentation:
-
A valid, government-issued photo ID (expired IDs will not be accepted)
-
Proof of ownership, which may include:
-
A valid vehicle registration
-
A physical title (electronic copies are not accepted)
-
A current insurance policy listing the registered owner and vehicle
-
Important:
Proof of insurance is required if a current policy exists
Insurance must have been active prior to the tow date to be accepted as proof of ownership
Vehicles cannot be operated on our property without valid insurance
PAYMENT REQUIREMENTS

All towing-related and storage fees must be paid in full before a vehicle can be released. Additional administrative or after-hours fees may also apply.
Accepted payment methods:
-
Cash – Exact amount only; no change will be provided
-
Credit or debit cards – Card payments are subject to a processing fee and must be made by the registered owner or authorized representative
